Life-Long Learning

Christians should be learning people. Christianity is not solely an intellectual pursuit but we would do well to remember that God is redeeming our minds as well as our bodies. Sanctification involves the setting apart of the whole person for service to the Lord. The mind is transformed as we delve into God’s word and let its truth elevate our thinking to a higher level. As Paul says, Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things (Philippians 4:8 ESV).

Now more than ever, Christians have access to myriads of resources that help them study and understand God’s Word. The internet has placed many of these remarkable resources at our finger tips, but one has to be discerning. It is difficult to navigate through the maze of lessons and teachers, many of them dangerous or downright heretical. One incredible resource allows anyone the opportunity to take the courses that are taught at many of our finest seminaries for free. I would encourage those who are interested in going deeper in their understanding of Scripture to visit Biblical Training.
